Attires worn by the erstwhile Kings of India, were richly bejewelled whether it was turban, Kurta made of silk and jari (gold threaded lace) or Achkans.
The attractive and colourful traditional Royal dress was made of silk or cotton. It was often decorated with jari border (golden or silver laces) and beautiful metal pendants that added to its glory and grandeur. The gold and diamonds were incorporated into their dress manually by the artisans.
The emergence of the Contemporary Royalty is noticeable by dramatic changes in clothing. Here is a valiant endeavour by Amitabh Chandel, to present the traditional embroidery in modern style to carry the legacy of Royalty.
